In late 2002 prevailing economic challenges of the industry prompted us to enter into a joint venture in Calgary a new company was formed called Acculogix. Today, The News Group operates across the Prairies with a sales, service, and marketing focus as all operational aspects of the business have been contracted to Acculogix.
Mountain City News and Ottawa Valley News evolved into a joint venture in early 2002 called Prologix. In the same way as the Prairies, The News Group continues to operate across Ontario with a sales, service and marketing focus, with all operational aspects of the business contracted to the joint venture – Prologix.
Media Logix handles distribution of niche or lower volume periodical product to specialty consumer marketers.
In 2004, The News Group formed a joint venture with other wholesalers in Canada to provide merchandizing services. The new company,
ncompass, will pursue periodical, book and other merchandizing opportunities in our respective retail accounts.
